Forty years of practice

Sawant & Kadrekar LLP, Chartered Accountants was established on 10 July 1986 by our Senior Partners CA Rajendra Vasant Kadrekar and CA Bajarang Ramachandra Sawant. The strongest testimony to the firm's reputation lies in client relationships that now extend beyond four decades.

The firm has since evolved into a multi-disciplinary practice offering a spectrum of value-added services. It represents a balance of experience and youth sharing a common vision, with a team whose expertise spans a range of business needs.

Engagements are led by a partner, not handed to one at the end. That means the person accountable for the opinion has been close to the facts throughout, and is available when a decision cannot wait.

We document positions as they are taken. A tax position, an audit judgement or a valuation assumption is recorded with the reasoning behind it, because the question is rarely asked in the year it is decided.

We will not take a position we would be uncomfortable defending, and we will not present an unsettled question as though it were settled. Where the law is genuinely unclear, saying so is part of the advice.

We do not make claims about outcomes. Professional work is judged on the quality of the reasoning, not on promises made in advance of the facts.
